We are writing this because we obviously get so many questions about our pricing and why it is priced that way.
Video Production companies are first and foremost a business entity.If it is not run as a business you won’t be around for long.Yes there are bargain prices out there on Craigslist where someone would be willing to do your project for next to nothing.However if you are a business owner and your reputation is at stake you don’t want to take the chance on a hit or miss.
Denver is considered a major television market,number 17 in the country but it should be higher.The listings are based upon population,but Denver’s TV stations produces many national journalists from this market. There are also many talented video companies here.
So how is pricing equated for a video production company?
Just like any business you need to quantify your expenses,such as labor,rent,insurance for employees and business insurance,equipment costs etc.Once the expenses are figured out you have to figure what will it take to cover all these expenses and make a slight profit.This is what every business owner does. In the Denver market you can expect to pay between $75-$125 or more per hour. The highest price would be for a larger crew and using a 4K camera.
